- expert body
- access to green for everyone
- Possible rules:

o cert. organic food
o enforcement of standards
o ID strongest of standards
o subsidize greener materials/products
o star rating to distinguish most green products
o defining what is truly green…future vision…convener for defining

- independent scientific body
- government has a role in defining what a true green world will look like instead of maintaining the lines of “it’s better than it was”

o economy, manufacturing world, etc.
o cap-and-trade as “making things a little bit better” and not really creating full-scale, necessary change

- need government to mandate waste regulations
- mandatory take-back on waste of final product

o need to know the life-cycle of the product – otherwise, production is pushed to other countries and associated waste is not counted – assessment of total ecological impact necessary
